The man in question is Rembrandt who looks at passersby in poster form with a pinch of defiance and insolence as part of our baby blue window display dedicated to JW Anderson and his new SS 2023 collection, unveiled yesterday in Milan.; The installation, timed in conjunction with Milan Men’s Fashion Week, ends on June 22. The British designer calls it a selfie portrait suspended between a subjective depiction and an objective one that only the viewer can tell. This dichotomy of clashing views reverberates throughout the new collection, epitomized by a handlebar, skateboard, a door hinge, and a pair of working gloves that land on the most essential of shapes: tops and sweatshirts just as they are. Why? Only the viewer can tell… What is clear and accessible, instead, is our current in-season range and a first taste of the FW 2022-23 lineup.
