IN FOCUS: MAISON MIHARA FW 2022-23

For his FW 2022-23 collection, designer Mihara Yasuhiro of Maison Mihara took his cue from the memories of Tokyo in the Nineties when he started out as a designer. At the time the youth scene was obsessed with American casual/military style and European trends. In that vein, the collection is also inspired by the designer’s desire to gravitate closer to his surroundings in an era when global information is only a click away. The outcome is a Nineties vibe with a second-hand vintage feel that appears throughout, from shirts to pants, from knits to bomber jackets rendered in richly-textured soft layers and relaxed silhouettes.
