COPERNI: ELEVATED FEMININITY

The Coperni show made headlines last fall when a quasi-naked Bella Hadid stepped out on the catwalk and was sprayed with a chemical solution that gradually became a dress.
With the world’s first-ever live-action spray-on dress, Coperni designers Arnaud Vaillant and Sébastien Meyer elevated the bond between fashion and technology, which for the new season homaged women’s bodies through striking manipulations: bias cuts, body-con drapes, sculpted slashes, and much more.
Founded in 2013, Coperni is inspired by modern life and industrial society. The name evokes astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus who unveiled the Heliocentrism theory, or the sun at the center of the Universe. Coperni, instead, puts the human at the center of creation with classical, chic, and practical pieces born of intensive textile experimentation.
