GUCCI GARDEN TO OPEN IN FLORENCE

Gucci will open up a Gucci Garden in Florence on the first day of Pitti Uomo, the high-profile international men's wear tradefair that runs from Jan. 9-12. Providing an immersive Gucci experience, the full-bloom garden was masterminded by the label's creative director Alessandro Michele and will be housed inside the historic Palazzo della Mercanzia, in the city's central Piazza della Signoria. Adding appeal to this magical venue inside a unique location is a Gucci store filled with a selection of exclusive, limited-edition products and a restaurant by Italian Michelin-starred chef Massimo Bottura. Last but not least, there will also be an exhibition area curated by the critic Maria Luisa Frisa. It goes without saying that after a donation of 2 million euros to restore the Boboli Gardens, this new project further strengthens Gucci's ties with its birth town.
