An exclusive event and installation at Antonia Sant’Andrea that spilled out into the awe-inspiring piazza del Quadrilatero of Portrait Milano, unveiled the new blockbuster Moncler x Pharrell Williams collection one day ahead of the official launch. The display, which runs through Sept. 27, kicked off with a live performance featuring ballet dancers, choral singers, a DJ set and the guest star presence of Pharrell Williams himself. The installation, a profusion of trailing greenery countered by steely fixtures perfectly captures the dual soul of the collection: city-ready and perfect for outdoor with a focus on refinement, craftsmanship, and expertise. It revolves around the concept of glamping. The clothes are designed to transition smoothly from outdoor adventures to metropolitan chaos with a balance of soft fluidity and architectural linearity. This being Pharrell, the vest is a key item, interpreted in three-dimensional diamond quilting and meant to be layered. Transformability is also key with zippers that allow long trousers to turn into shorts, a duvet blanket that doubles as a cape, and unzippable sleeves that transform a jacket into a utilitarian fisherman's vest.
