Hideaki Yoshihara and Yukiko Ode of cult Japanese brand HYKE are purveyors of a distinctive aesthetic that merges minimalism and function with a refined and rarefied hand. For their second undertaking with Moncler, they matched their utilitarian aesthetic and passion for performance with the spirit of the Italian outerwear brand. Flushing out the themes from their first collaboration, the duo delved further into the archives revisiting the 1960 Lionel Terray down coat and other historic Moncler items. The result is a focused and rigorously black and neutral lineup of HYKE’s signature pared-down silhouettes and off-kilter pragmatism with Moncler’s down elevated by industry-leading technical fabrics and finishes.
