HOT STUFF: 2023 PIRELLI CALENDAR

Since its debut in 1964, the Pirelli calendar has become a coveted object of desire and the ultimate collector’s item. Initially, the Italian tire manufacturer handed it out as a limited gift for family, friends, and celebrities but over the years, fueled by its success, it has become a trademark known as The Cal and is still issued in limited 20,000 copies annually. The imagery, which today has less in-your-face nudity, has been captured by top-class photographers including Annie Leibovitz, Sarah Moon, Helmut Newton, Richard Avedon, Peter Lindbergh, and Patrick Demarchelier. Entitled “Love Letters to the Muse,” the 2023 edition stars some of fashion’s hottest names: Bella Hadid, Ashley Graham, Karlie Kloss, Sasha Pivovarova, Emily Ratajkowski, and Cara Delevingne to name a few, shot by photographer Emma Summerton, who was inspired by the work of each woman away from the camera.
