Maison Mihara’s SS24 roundup takes us on a trip back to the 1990s, his very own “memory maze” brimming with the designer’s reminiscences of childhood and echoes of house music.
His “Lo-Fi Vision” collection speaks to “the noisy scenery emphasized in a vague/ambiguous dream” and is decidedly vintage. Fabrics are treated with a special technique that creates acid effects. Over-the-top oversize is the menu’s main course, oozing with grunge. Cut-out details emerge in a robe-like array of macro hoodies, cargo pants and checked shirts. Sneakers romp ’90s-style, bulging and bleached.
