FROM TOKYO WITH LOVE: AMBUSH SS2023

Inspired by the freedom and speed with which its people mix, match and experiment with their looks, Tokyo is an endless source of inspiration for Yoon Ahn, the creative director of Ambush. For spring, the designer celebrates that spirit through a wide-ranging yet focused lineup that draws from the house’s signature pieces while exploring new silhouettes. Ahn’s starting point was the Tokyo she first came across two decades ago when the relationship between fashion and music was at its peak and the view today from her headquarters in the bustling Shibuya area. Hence the new season offers an Ambush mixtape with unisex shapes that are roomier than usual. Workwear, denim sportswear hybrids, biker garb, bowling shirts, and a revised signature kimono provide the building blocks of this collection, infused with a nod to the rave and clubbing cultures.
