GUCCI OUVERTURE: THE “SOMETHING THAT NEVER ENDED” COLLECTION

The Gucci Ouverture collection links the past and future through a unique lineup featuring the multiple references, aesthetic and highlights that have forged the awe-inspiring world of Creative Director Alessandro Michele since he launched his first collection for FW 2015. Ouverture is an eclectic journey that seamlessly blends a little retro nostalgia, exclusive re-editions and a streetwear vibe. Plus, for this new chapter, Michele references Eschatology, the doctrine that explores the ultimate destiny of humans and the universe. The 25 Eschatology print bonds this concept with 25, the designer's favorite number. The collection also includes a collaboration with British children's book illustrator Freya Hartas, whose prints are imbued with a fairytale sense of wonder. The striking Overture mixture also includes the 1921 prints, hints at the Off The Grid sustainability, Chinese Valentine's Day, Brit tradition and other typical iconography and logos of the storied house.
