SUMMERY FUN: JACQUEMUS LE RAPHIA SHOW

Raffia, the queen of summer, immediately conjures images of leisurely, lazy yet glamorous moments under the sun. Think Portofino, Capri, the Cote Azur, which is exactly what Jacquemus’ Simon Porte did by parading his SS 2023 show under a straw storm, shielded by giant raffia sun hats. Playful, upbeat, and perfectly executed, the collection is adorned with a plethora of details – ruffles, trims, bell sleeves, cut-outs, crisscrosses – that add character to each piece, whether streamlined, elongated or skimpy. Sunshine yellow, sweet pastels and a wave of white-to-ecru hues dominate the color wheel.
